Harvest Moon:Tale of Two Towns 3DS
Natsumi
2011

So this is your pretty basic Harvest Moon game. Farm, raise animals, get married, not much has changed , but it is still absolutely addicting. I love these games.

The story in this game is somewhat unique. It starts out with  your character crashing their wagon. After that, Ina and Rutger, the two mayors from the towns, will come to you and try to convince you to live in the towns. Ina is Konohana and Rutger is Blubell. Konohana is a town based on farming while Bluebell is a town based on raising livestock. Your goal for the game is to re-unite the two mayors/towns. To do so, you must enter the cooking competitions and raise their friendliness meter.

I started in Konohana, the farming town. Basically, you have to buy seeds, plow your land, plant the seeds and water them about twice a day and harvest them when they are fully grown. There are lots of other things to do like going into the forest and collecting items just lying on the ground, which you can sell along with your crops. In Bluebell, you can also raise crops but there is a lot less land since it is mainly a livestock farm likewise, you can raise livestock in Konohna but the barn isn't as big. When it comes to livestock you can buy chickens and collect their eggs, cows and milk them, and sheep which you can sheer for wool. In both towns, you will have a kitchen in your house where you can make food and you should also keep up with the message board because people will give you requests in which your can get more cooking supplies, spice cabinet, pot, etc., and the cooking contests are essential, you will have a calender to tell you when they are.

The graphics are pretty great. The 3D actually looks good and not like they threw it in last minute, not like Super Mario 3D Land quality but better than any third party game.

Overall, I really love this game. It's definitely not for hard-core gamers but it's extremely addicting. If your a fan of previous Harvest Moon games, this game will not disappoint. I give it 4 cows out of 5.
